In contemporary American society, millions have to deal with chronic fear, depression, abuse, addictions, and similar problems. Millions more have grown up without good role models for marriage and parenting. An increasingly large portion of Christian literature is devoted to helping believers overcome such difficulties and live joyful, productive lives.
I've gotten great benefit from Kevin Leman and Gary Smalley. Larry Burkett and James Dobson are also excellent. Kevin Johnson and Jeramy Clark are good for young people.

White sees demonic forces as the root of nearly all Christian suffering, with the solution being exorcism or rebuke of the demons responsible.
